The park!

Yesterday was beautiful out so instead of story time, a little group of us decided to head to the park. It was awesome! The kids were great, the location was great, ( Ft. Smallwood in Pasadena). It was on the water too :) Always a plus for me! I can't wait for Hannah to get big enough to be able to play and walk around but for now she just hung out with Mom! She pretty much fell asleep on me right away. So not sure if she likes it or not, she is kind of fussy when I put her in it around the house. But it was cooler than being in the carrier.




Here is Maggie checking on Hannah!! She is expecting a little brother by the end of summer so she is just practicing on Hannah. All the little kids, Maggie, Jake and Tommy loved Hannah they would just look at her and laugh or smile. :) It was precious! We all parted ways by 1:00pm and headed home. I gave her a bath to cool her off and feed her then we were down for a nap! It was so refreshing!! I love being home with her and taking naps with my little girl!! (She was napping in the crib again!!) Yippie!!

Whew! What a hot past few days!!! The weather has been great! I think we totally skipped spring and went into summer, over the weekend it was in the 90's and its April!!! Just a bit hot for me, I have to work my way into the heat!!! We have just been trying to stay cool and take walks in the evenings.

The other night we decided to do the footprint/hand print mold, so here we are getting her dirty before her bath! She did not put up a fight at all, now her hand print was just as easy but she grabbed some of the mold but it still came out really good!!




She is so alert and aware of people and sounds around her. It's amazing when we come into a room and talk she turns her head and try's to find where we are. I love it!




I think the biggest news is that....................



She slept for the first time in her crib today during nap time!!!

SEE THE DIFFERENCE?!? She looks too big for the cradle!!



I try to put her in the crib when I'm putting laundry away or tidying the upstairs so she is use to it but today I was thinking I should try it out, since she has been sleeping through the nights. She has more space in the crib and the way she moves and grooves it makes the most sense, but she is still so little and I don't think I would sleep if she was in the other room yet!!!

Happy Girl!!

Here is my happy girl!! :) I LOVE her smile and laugh so much!!!! This week has been great!!! I had my 6 week appointment so I'm healed up and can drive!!! So we have been busy this week, Tuesday we went to Pottery Barn Kids and enjoyed story time there with a few friends, walked the mall, watched their kiddies play at the play area (they have kids that are 13 months old). It was just awesome to be out and having adult conversations!!! Of course most of the conversations were about our kids but that's ok! Then we went to Childrens Place which had a great sale, (never shopped there before) 2 adorable pink sleepers for $ 1.99!!! :) Yay!!! Then one day we went to Target, this weekend is suppose to be acutal spring weather so we will try and get outdoors with our little bundle of joy! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Finally SUNshine!!!

Hannah had her one month appointment on Tuesday, and she now weights 9 pounds 4 oz!!! She got another shot, Hep B and it was really traumatic probably more for me seeing her poor little unsuspecting face go from happy girl to screaming girl!!!! Right after this picture was taking, she decided to pee on the weighing machine!!! It was a lot too!! Last time she went on the exam table!!! It's like she feels free when the diaper is off and just lets it flow. Silly girl!!!!

Ugh I'm dreading the 2 month one ...4 shots I believe!! We love her doctor, he reassures us we are doing a good job with her and really listens....since we are new parents we have lots of questions and concerns.


The sun finally decided to come out yesterday!!! After what seemed like weeks of rain, especially for me not able to get out and drive yet!! (Next week baby!) It's so nice to be able to open the windows and let some fresh air in and load Hannah in the stroller and take a walk!!! So that's just what we did yesterday and will be doing today!! Also my parents are coming up today! So double yay!! Hopefully we'll get out and enjoy the nice weather!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

One Month Photo Shoot

So here are a few shots that we took of her! We still need to go get some done professionally of the 3 of us, but we have not had the time yet!!! This is with my big stuffed gorilla Remi sent me while he was on a trip!! I love it and can't wait for her to get older and have a giant gorilla in her bed!!!


Lisa I freaking love the glider!! Thank you! It makes feeding so much easier and it's comfy , I have dozed off a few times in the wee hours of the night/morning!! This picture shows off her adorable belly very well!!! She just looks comfy.




An aerial view of how little she looks in her crib!! She is still in the bassinet in our room, but sometimes I lay her in the crib to check things out and get use to it. She loves to look up at the mobile!!


Check out how BIG that diaper is on her!!! But she's too long and big for the newborn one's!!! Pretty soon these will look small on her!!! I can't get over how big she is getting each and every day!! It's so amazing!!

Our Easter Fun!!

We have had a very busy week and Easter weekend!! Remi's parents stayed through the weekend and on Sunday after church his uncle and his 3 girls were down from NY and we had Dinner at our house!! It was a house full but very nice to see everyone. We had an Easter egg hunt for the little kids, decent weather, and some Wii guitar hero that the kiddies rocked out on!! And of course enough food to go around!!!! It was our first time hosting a holiday at our house. We like it, once Hannah gets older, we'll stop going home for Christmas and have the folks come to us. I'm sure it's nothing like your child waking up coming downstairs and seeing what they got and making memories in your own home!!!! I can't wait!!!

So here is a picture of us and a sleeping Hannah, she is in a cute little dress!! I did not think to take one of her in the dress...silly me!! We all had a wonderful meal, and then just sat around and talked & played with the kiddies! It was nice. Hope you all had a great weekend!!!

ONE MONTH OLD!!!!

Today at 12:14pm Hannah was a month old!!! It has gone by so quick that we are just stunned!! She has outgrown her newborn clothes which were 5-8 pounds!!! She is not only growing but becoming more and more alert, her eyes are changing, getting more hair and lighter!!! She is almost out of her newborn diapers and into the stage 1!! It's just amazing!! She is sort of in a routine, she goes to bed at 10 or 11pm and sleeps till about 4:30-5am for a quick feeding (like 1 or 2 ounces) then right back to sleep, up again like 7:30-8am for some more food, then even sometimes we snuggle in bed till 10! (AMAZING!!) Then during the day she naps here and there usually 2 hr eat, sleep, etc....Not too bad. I'm still drained of energy from nursing. I hope that will get better soon!! We will take more later of her and post them!!!

Oh the places we go!!!

While Chris and Jill were still here we took a quick trip (Ha, who am I kidding it's never a quick trip) to Home Depot, and here is Hannah's first hammer. Even though we had a girl, Remi is going to make her like trains, (see below) computers, the outdoors and be handy around the house. Any time she's in the carrier she falls asleep and this is what happens!!


After Chris and Jill left, later that day we had Remi's parents and brother come up and they are staying through the weekend and having Easter dinner with us!! So Wednesday and Thursday we stayed in and just laid low, played with Hannah and did things around the house. I'm still nursing and we are trying to get Hannah use to the bottle so I can pump and Remi or others can feed her, so that gives me time to run errands or sleep and not always having to be on her schedule, which at the rate she is growing is changing daily!!!! So here is her in the car getting a bottle!!! Yay! I'm so proud of you Hannah!!!


Again when she sleeps, Dad pose's her with things!!! Friday was really nice out so we packed up and headed to Balitmore to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum. It was really nice and not too crowded. Here we are on a train ride taking in the sights of lovely Baltimore. Also on board was the Easter Bunny, which we did not get a picture of because once again she was sleeping!!!!

I think this swing is the best invention ever for little babies!!! Hannah loves it!!! She is becoming more and more alert each day and when she's in here, she trys to follow the bears. It keeps her entertained for a while, and usually ends with her falling asleep!!! Thanks Uncle Jason, Angela and Erin!!!! Well after this weekend, my parents are coming up to see their lovely grandaugter but after that Case de Smith has openings once again!!! So visitors are welcome!!!!

The March's in April...

We had a very nice weekend, due to the visitors and the weather!!!! Chris and Jill March came down from PA to visit us for a few days. Chris and Remi went to college together and when Hannah was born, Chris was out on a boat so he got home last week and him and his wife came to meet the little one!! Here is a picture of Jill and Hannah sitting and probably watching the boys playing the Wii!!

So the weather was decent Friday and Saturday, so Remi got to cut the grass, weed, get mulch and clean up the garden area out front! So we are ready to start planting flowers and warm weather!!!! We had lots of visitors as well!! Jon and Jess came by to visit and see Hannah, we all went to lunch at Luke's and of course the guest of honor (Hannah) slept the entire time! Yay! Then Sunday we went to church and she was a little fussy so I just got to hold and snuggle her time entire time while she slept!!! Later that aftenoon Lisa and Luke came by to see the little one, and at first Luke wanted nothing to do with Hannah but by the time they were leaving he was asking if they could take Hannah home!!!! (hint hint Lisa and Brian!!) It was really nice having people stopping by!!!

Monday we all had a busy day! We packed up and loaded Hannah in car and headed to the bowling alley!! Everyone had a blast even Hannah just sleeping away in the carseat after a nice feeding we decided to head to the mall since the weather turned on us and it kept on raining and getting colder and colder!!! Any after a while at the mall we headed home for some Mexican (thanks to Remi) and movies!!!! Thanks to everyone who have stopped by, showered Hannah with gifts, and checked in on us!! We love you! We are so blessed to have so many people that care!!!

Now this week is also busy! We have Remi's parents and brother up!!! Right now, Hannah is probably sleeping on Grandma and I'm able to catch up the blog!! Yay!! Thanks Grandma! The boys worked out in the yard this afternoon doing more mulching!!! Thanks! It's a huge help since I can't really get out there and move shovelful's of anything!!!! I will be posting more pictures later!! Take care!!

It's real

Yesterday we received her SSN card in the mail, personally addressed to Hannah!!! Her first piece of mail!! I guess that made it seem really real that she is ours!! We should be getting her birth certificate soon too!!!


Other than that, not much has been going on. We got a really cute outfit from a friend that works at the school Remi went to, the United States Merchant Marine Academy!! Hannah say's THANKS LISA!!!



Also we headed out to the mall to have some friends meet Hannah and she got all dressed up and looked cute in her girlie outfit. She looks adorable and I'm still sporting my maternity pants!! Almost in my regular jeans again and can not wait to get into my spring clothes!!! I think that's about it! :)
