My gift!

This is one of my gifts I got for Christmas this year from Remi! I've been wanting a coat rack to have by the front door for a long time now and over break he finally had the time and the tools to make me one! I'm defiantly an instant gratification kinda gal so I wanted him to just order me one from LL Bean or Pottery Barn (and pay WAY too much) but he had something in mind that he wanted to make so I just had to wait. Another quality I LOVE about him. Not the making me wait but the hard work, time, love he put into making the coat rack instead of something that everyone has!

Our living room has the white beadboard and the trim all the way around it like you see in the picture. Once the LR is all completed I will post pictures. It's been a LONG process of hardwood floors, painting, new couches, beadboard, trim....etc....plus Remi traveling so you get the picture. Its ALMOST done!

SNOW!!!

Ha ha I'm laughing as I sit here and write this blog because the last blog I wrote was all about rain and now this one is about SNOW!!! We got the most snow I've ever seen at once! And I lived in Colorado for a while!!! Over the weekend (December 19-20) we got over 2 FEET OF SNOW! It was insane! My parents, grandma and friend Sarah were all up for a weekend of baking cookies and snow! Little did we know that it was coming and how much!! It was a nice low key weekend lucky we didn't plan on getting out much.


We decorated gingerbread houses!!!! I don't think I have one of the finish project! haha! I will take one!

Sarah is really 80 and loves to knit so being snowed in........she had time to knit a few hats!! My dad one, Lauren and Christopher (the kiddies I keep) Chloe, her sisters Rena's, and probably more!!! It was a GREAT weekend!!!

Rain rain go away!!

So it rained or should I say poured ALL last night and as a result....................

It was pouring at 7am, cloudy till about 10 then sunny sunny sunny and by 4pm the winds picked up and about blew you away BUT the rain mostly dried up and everything is back to normal!!!!

2 peas in a pod

It's so bizarre to me how much alike Hannah and Remi are! It's the cutest thing really!! When Remi is concentrating on something he tends to stick his tongue out and to the side.....well little missy does it too!! They have some of the same expressions, the same hairline (lets hope her hair comes in softer than Remi's haha) the list goes on and on!! I don't remember what we did with out time before Hannah!! Seeing them together just melts my heart! I love both my babies!

Weekend in PA

This past weekend we went to visit some friends in Pottstown, PA. If you are beer drinkers and like Yuengling it's brewed like 45 mins away in another town called Pottsville. Just a little bit of info!



We had a great weekend. Friday night we went to see Christmas lights at a garden and it was amazing! Hannah was bundled up like a snow bunny and even fell asleep!

Inside all warm, they had so many different colors of poinsettia's. I was amazed. Red, light pink, dark pink,orange, peachy colored.

It SNOWED (even though this pic it looks mostly like rain) Saturday!!!! We only got about 2 inches but still it covered the ground and look beautiful coming down!!

She LOVES to be tickled, tossed up down all around, I know I've said that before. Remi and Chris were rocking her in the runner and she laughed so hard!

O Palm Tree O Palm Tree .......

We live in Maryland on the Eastern Shore, a place called Kent Island. Since we live on "an island" Remi thought it would be cool to have a palm tree instead of a a real tree. Our first Christmas together we got a real tree and everything was fine until we packed up and headed to Richmond for the Holidays and came home to a dead tree! The years following we just decorated and didn't do a tree. (sad I know looking back but we both worked a lot and went home for a week every year) Last year (the first year in our new house) Remi finally won the battle over a palm tree vs a real tree. I really like it and it's fitting for our house which is totally beachy! Of course I love it and shouldn't have put up such a stink about it! :)


HAHA! She looks so silly! Remi had to take like 10 pictures to get one that actually had her looking at the camera! You would put it on her and she pull it off just as fast!

I'm thinking we should get Hannah a vacuum for Christmas since she seems to only want to play with it,even though ALL her other toys are right next to her!

This is the cutest knitted hat I've ever seen! My bff Sarah made it for Hannah! I love the pompom on the top. It's a little big for her now but she will grow into it! Thanks Sarah your the best!! She mailed it to Hannah and even addressed it to her!

CAUGHT!

So I found out this morning that Teddy begs for food from his new BFF!! I think I was loading the dishwasher so I had my back to them and he decided to beg for food! It's bad enough she does the drop game and drop EVERYTHING off the tray!!! Guess she loved her cheerios a little too much to share so Teddy decided to get his own! (Don't worry he did not get anything and he did get in trouble and is usually outside when she eats to avoid any food snatching in the future!)

VACATION!!!!

We finally will get to sit back and relax for the entire month of December! Well that's not really true, this Thursday we have a girls lunch date with some friends, Friday morning a birthday party to attend then for the weekend we are off to PA to visit the friends we were suppose to be with on Thanksgiving. (but due to Remi's trip being pushed back he was not home in time) So we can't wait to see them! Remi's good friend from college Chris and his wife Jill are expecting their first child in late February!! So I can't wait to see Jill and talk baby stuff!! :)

Then of course we have the never ending "honey do list" that Remi will be working on once we get back! He loves doing projects but never has the time! So now he does! He will be off for all of December! That's a first time he's taken a vacation and spent it at home. He took a few days off when we had Hannah but their were so many family members up Hannah and I were taken care of so he worked!

I start keeping 2 very adorable kids in my neighborhood next Monday. Monday-Friday all day but one child Christopher is in kindergarten and Lauren is in preschool a few hours each day. So it will keep me busy and I get be in my own home getting things and preparing dinner for Remi!! Haha we know that's not true!!!

Guess who's back.....

DADDY!!!

We were so excited to go to the airport to pick Daddy up on Saturday evening! We parked, went in and got to wait for him to get off the plane!! We made a sign to he could spot us easier! :)

It was a perfect homecoming to the end of Thanksgiving weekend! We have so much to be thankful for this holiday season! Hannah was amazed by Remi's facial hair!!! She kept playing with it! (maybe that will teach him to keep it trimmed!)

Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great and wonderful Thanksgiving with their family and friends! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with some friends of ours and their family! It was amazing!
They are like our family away from home! We are so thankful we met the Hurd's! They have done so much for us I don't even know where to begin! The way Remi travels for work I know my mom and mother in law (and Remi of course) rest easier at night knowing we have such wonderful people looking after Hannah and I! We not only have gotten to know them really well but both of their extended famililes as well. It felt like being at home, surrounded by so many people! Kids were running around wild, music playing, people laughing, Hannah crawling all over the place!!! What more could you ask for???

8 Months

Hannah is 8 months old!! (well like 8 months and 2 weeks!) Once again I'm a little behind on taking her monthly picture's, weighing and measuring her! When we don't have the healthy doctor appointments I get behind! haha

So she is weighing in at a whopping 17 pounds, I want to say 27 inches (is that crazy??!) I can't remember and the info is upstairs in Hannah's room and she's suppose to be napping BUT I think she's playing instead! Let's see what is she up to these days.....

-crawling like a champ....speedy is her name!
-pulling up and everything
-saying dada! (first word)
-working on "uh oh" it comes out ahhh!
-eating a lot of table food, she's really good with the finger mouth coordination
-drinking out of her sippy cup and actually drinking it instead of it running down her chin!
-her personality is coming out more and more, when I take something away that she shouldn't have she grunts! haha


I'm sure lots more but I can't think of them right now!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! HOPE EVERYONE HAS A SAFE HOLIDAY!

Teeth!

I can not believe I have not posted this yet!! Almost 2 weeks now Hannah cut her first tooth then only a few days later then other one posted through! So she has 2 teeth on the bottom. What a big girl!!! She cut the one on the left first then the right one popped up. They are both through but not fully raised up yet.

She does not want much to do with baby food anymore! She wants big people food! She's awesome at chewing and mashing things up, and not putting too many in her mouth at once! She is good at the coordination from her hands/fingers to her mouth. She's like a shovel! Does not drop much and what she does the dog gets! I wish this picture was better. I will try to take more later today for you to see. But its difficult!

She's been kinda fussy the past few days, could just be rough days, maybe she's getting sick again or teething?? Who knows? I'm going just a bit stir crazy with all the rain and my Hannah not being a happy baby. Things will turn around soon I'm sure!!!

These crack me up! I CAN NOT wait to see what Hannah has in store for us when she get's bigger and really starts talking!! She does the funniest things now! This morning I was feeding her breakfast and she kept squirming around and was finally satisfied sitting like this!






:) She's such a funny girl! Whenever she's in the stroller she has her foot up like that as well, when we're at the mall, walking, running, anytime! I guess she is so relaxed like that!!!
